Hi, i'm Renee. I'm 26 (ehhh almost 27) and currently pregnant with my 4th. We're planning a home waterbirth, after having 3 hospital births. We found that hospital births just aren't for us so we're trying something i've been wanting for a while :)

Anywho, I was invited here by a friend of mine (thanks "D") so I thought i'd swing on by and see what's going on :)

ETA: Wanted to add a photo so you can put a face with the posts.. This is my most recent, which was taken 4 weeks ago (I know.. time for a new one huh?) lol

Hi Renee, I'd of loved to of had a home water birth but our health service doesn't really like first time mothers having babies at home here.

Your bump is so cute! How far along are you and do you know what you are having yet?

That really stinks. I don't see why it should be an issue. I understand first time moms get a littl emore nervous then those who've delivered before, but it really isn't a problem. If it's something you want, I would go for it!

Aww thanks :) I'm 21 weeks and 2 days pregnant (I need to create a siggy for myself). That pic was taken at 17 weeks and 4 days. Time to take a new pic :)

I had a 3D ultrasound the day of the photo. They believe it's a boy but we're not 100% sure. We saw what appears to be 1 decended testicle but never saw a penis. I have my "big" ultrasound on May 9th. We'll be able to find out then for sure whether we're having another boy or another girl.

As of now I have a 10 year old boy, 8 year old girl, 11 month old boy and then the one i'm carrying. I have a house full but still want more :)

After having Amelia in the hospital I was really disappointed with the aftercare on the ward... if/when I have another one I'm going to push for a home birth because I think I would of felt more at ease at home...

How many children do you plan to have? I always said that I wanted just one little girl and that was what I was blessed with. Now I see pregnant women, like your pic, and I get really jealous! :rolleyes2: So I guess I'll be having another one after all!

You're not alone. I've had some horrible experiences in the hospital. This time I am calling the shots. We've hired a midwife but she's very clear that I pretty much want an unassisted birth. She's just here incase I want or need her. I will be laboring without her and birthing without her. SHe'll just be standing by. I prefer to be the first one to hold my baby sop I will birth my own child.

We're planning on one more but if it were solely up to me i'd have a litter LMAO.. I love being pregnant, giving birth, and well... being a mom. It's something I can honestly say I do pretty well and like they say...if you find something you're good at, stick with it :p

Have you and your S/O discussed having mroe children?

Wow, I don't think I'd be willing to go completely solo but I really wanted my midwife out the room, she was really bothering me!

I only ever wanted one but BF wants two and he wants them close together... I don't think I can do the two under two though! :rolleyes2:

Ya know it's actually not so bad. They grow up being very close. Plus, you can have them both out of diapers around the same time.

My oldest are 22 months apart and my youngest will be 15 months apart. It really isn't so bad. I think the hardest part is getting on a normal schedule. That takes a couple weeks. After that it's good to go :)

Do you think you'll want more? I know you said you're getting the baby blues (so to speak), but do you see it being more then just a a nice thought? Meaning, could you picture yourself with another child?

I think it's because of the closeness that BF wants two under two because him and his brother are only 15months apart.

I can see myself with another baby yes, but not untill Amelia is toddling... I have these little images of her toddling next to me while I'm pushing a stroller... isn't that sweet! :rolleyes2: I can see myself being pregnant though alot more than I can with another baby...

That's adorable! I can understand both sides. He had that great bond and wants to pass that onto his children.

But you want a child who's a bit older and less dependant upon you who can even help out a little bit.

There's no right or wrong there. Hard decision!

Exactly... if she was older than she'd want to help, like fetch things for me, etc... I'll probably end up wanting another when Amelia isn't breastfeeding anymore... :rolleyes2:
