For some reason here when the snow goes is when all the solicitors come out and know somehow, someway that you just get to sit down and then they swarm in! We are getting like 3 solicitors a day here at the door! I hate that!

People don't go door to door much out here. Only if the kids are selling stuff for girl or boy scouts. That's about it.

Oh yeah! They drive me batty too! It's always in the middle of dinner or when I finally get the baby to sleep Arg!

Renee- We get people who try to sell their lawn services to items but it is mostly people asking for monetary donations.

ok check it out.. next time someone is clearly there for donations you HAVE to try and get them to donate to YOU.

Say "thank goodness you're here. The kids are hungry, we're out of food, and my husband just lost his job. Any dontaion you can offer would be greatly appreciated". I guarantee they look at you like they're crazy and not come back LOL

Gotta mess with them. I used to get telemarketers calling all the time (before the do not call list was activated) and when they'd call i'd try to sell them stuff. They'd hang up on me and remove me from their list.
