This is also something I'm interested in reading about. When I was pregnant with Amelia I contemplated the Smart Nappy (http://www.mothercare.com/gp/browse.html?ie=UTF8&node=58960031&mcb=core) but at the time I was living in a one bedroom appartment and I didn't feel it was practical with space for storing/drying etc...

I wonder if they have those here in the US? I am just really curious about the cloth diapers now. I have always shrugged at it in the past...but am seriously considering it now. I just want to know more!!!!! :D

Im pretty new to CDing but I love it thus far!

I use bum genius all in one's or pocketed diapers. Bascially what that means is everything comes assembled just as a sposie (disposable) would. The only assembling you do is if you have a pocketed diaper. You just put the liner inside the diaper and you're ready to use it.

I keep a bucket in the bathroom so I can toss the dirties in there. If baby poops, you dump it into the toilet. You can get a diaper sprayer that hook up to your toilet so you can use water pressure to help clean the poop. I don't have that so I use the bathroom sink to get the yuckies off. THen I toss them in the bucket until it's time to wash them. It's really no different then cleaning a spot on your favorite shirt.

Benefits:

1. They look ADORABLE
2. They're better for the environment.
3. They save you tons of money
4. You'll never run out of dipes.
5. They're so easy to use

The list goes on and on.

We need to get Joede in here. She's a CDing guru. She helped me soooooooooo much with this and i'm eternally greatful for that!.

BTW Joede, when you see this, my diapers arrived. All 19 in mint condition including liners. WOOT!

Check out bum genious and fuzzy bunz or just do an internet search for cloth diapers. You'll find a LARGE variety to choose from!

Here's a pic of my youngest in a CD. It's not the greatest pic but you can see the diaper well. Thanks to a special someone for sending them to me **wink wink** I'm officially hooked.

I actually ordered from a woman on www.diaperswappers.com but it was a NIGHTMARE! In the end everything worked out but the journey there was horrific. I gave her $255 for the dipes (which is a good price) and she took her sweet time to ship them giving me excuse after excuse when she had not, always promising to ship the next day. Ugh.. it was awful..

In other words, I would recommend buying from a reputable person on ebay (if you want used) or from a reputable website.

CHeck out www.bumgenius.com for an idea of price. You can find them a dollar or two cheaper on other websites if you search.

It seems like a lot of money but really it's not. If you think of how much you spend on diapers that oyu just throw away, never ot be used again, you'll see how much you can save.

Plus, these can be used all the way through potty training.

Thanks ladies :) Cloth is SOOOOOO much different then it used to be. Times have changed. Now you can get dipes that are easy to use while still helping the environment AND saving oyu money. Can't beat that!!
