Did anyone have one of these done?

I know that myself and Maria had them. I thought it was pretty cool and Amelia looked exactly like she did when she was born. It was great to see how she looked and watch her moving, pulling facial expressions, etc.

I'm going to post a video of my 4D scan in the Pictures and Videos forum in case anyone wants to see it.

Do you think they are freaky? Do you feel it ruins the surprise of seeing your baby for the first time when s/he is born? Do you think that it's a great way of getting the father to bond more with the baby before s/he's born?

I had the 3D for my son. It was nice to see but I did find it a bit freaky. But it was nice to really see his face and his little boy goodies for proof positive about if he were all boy or girl.

Did you get a copy of the pictures or a DVD?

I got pictures. I think the dvd was only for the 4D. The thing was so clear and it was a bit freaky...lol. After seeing it I did ask that they turn it back to the old fashioned scan ...I like the black and white scale much better.

I had a few normal ultrasounds after and I hated them ones after being able to see her face! lol

I found the 3d a bit spooky. It was nice to see but it was spooky.

i have not had one...and probably won't since I am being told that there is only a couple of places here to have them and the dr. has to prescribe them in order to have them done. plus, I was told that the odds of it showing up like we want it to are not all that great. but that was only one person's opinion...so I guess I should do some more "looking into" it. sounds like you were all very successful with them!!! and while it might be a tad "spooky"...I think I would cherish it.

Yeah, you would cherish it. It's one of my favourite pregnancy things. I have a video scrapbook of my pregnancy and my 4D is my favourite part of it.

You should look into... everyone that I know got good images of the baby.

I did with my last pregnancy and with this one. It's so neat to see a real little baby in there.

At least you got another scan though so you didn't buy everything for the opposite sex.
