The longest I nursed was about 3 months. Everyone will have differing opinions. Some will nurse up until 2 or more years.......Three months was good for me.

You thinking of weaning?

Nope, I just wondered how long other people go... people keep looking at me funny when I say I'm gonna try to go at least 6months but I'm willing to go for as long as Amelia wants too.

You go as long as you want to. MY sil went until my niece was 10 months and my other friend nurses until they are a year old.

I think once I hit 6months though I'll be expressing and bottling it instead...

You should do some expressing from now...as they get older they don't want to have a bottle vs the breast. Plus it gives you a bit of leeway to do things and leave daddy with her to run an errand or just to shower...lol. It gives them some extra bonding time as well.

I've been trying since she was born... it was hit and miss to start with whether she would accept it... now it's just an outright NO! :( Still, I keep trying it though once a day... one day she'll accept it again.

I never weaned. The longest I went is 4 months and that was with my last. I've had breast surgery and it has caused some problems with nursing. I would produce the milk but because so many of my milk ductsd were cut, I couldnt get the milk out.

I'd love to be able to nurse as long as my child wants. A year, two, three, i'm all for it!

Yeah, I'm all for it too... I don't know why some people don't like it, but each to their own. :)
